Synopsis: Dot and Reg discover on their honeymoon their divergent attitudes to marriage: Dot wants fun, Reg wants Dot. Facing domestic chaos Reg with Pete makes a new life for himself of fast, ton-up, motor-bike trips. After unsuccessful and half-hearted attempts at reconciliation Reg finds Dot is unfaithful and plans to take a merchant ship to New York with Pete. Whilst waiting for him at a dockside pub, he discovers the brutal truth about Pete himself and realises that friendship too has failed.
